Renalyn is a criminal defence and public-law litigator with over eight years of experience representing clients in serious offences, regulatory investigations, immigration matters, and constitutional challenges. She has appeared extensively in the Magistrates’ and Sessions Courts and has represented more than 200 accused persons across a wide range of matters including sexual offences, drug-related charges, violent crimes, commercial crimes, and AMLA cases.
She founded and led Rivera Chambers in 2020, a litigation-focused practice that now forms the foundation of the firm’s criminal and public-law pillar. Her experience running a sole proprietorship strengthened her discipline in managing urgent, high-stakes matters and shaped her grounded, client-focused approach.
Her criminal practice spans the full spectrum of procedural and substantive work, including remand hearings, bail applications, mitigation, full trials, and appeals. Renalyn is known for her meticulous preparation, firm courtroom presence, and steady handling of fact-heavy disputes, particularly those involving sensitive or complex allegations.
Beyond criminal defence, Renalyn handles a wide range of immigration matters, including overstay cases, Section 6(1)(c) offences, deportation challenges, and formal representations to the Attorney General’s Chambers and the Immigration Department. Her work reflects a strong understanding of procedural requirements and strategic case positioning.
Renalyn also represents clients in human rights and public-law disputes, including habeas corpus applications, judicial review proceedings, and matters under ATIPSOM. Her work in these areas requires careful navigation of constitutional safeguards and administrative law principles. She continues to act for individuals and organisations in criminal, regulatory, immigration, and public-law matters.

Noraini is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer with over 9 years of experience, admitted to the High Court of Malaya (2016) and subsequently to the High Court of Sabah & Sarawak (2017). Her practice spans commercial and civil disputes, banking and recovery litigation, insolvency matters, maritime claims, defamation, and regulatory exposures. She is known for her structured approach to case management, clear written advocacy, and strategic execution throughout the life cycle of a dispute.
She began her career in Sabah, where she spent nearly six years managing litigation portfolios for panel financial institutions and handling contentious matters for developers, corporations, and private clients. During this period, she served as the sole litigation associate of her firm, gaining extensive courtroom exposure and developing a practical, execution-focused approach to litigation. Her early commercial grounding also included drafting key documentation for a RM652 million university hospital construction project, giving her valuable experience in large-scale transactions.
Noraini later led the litigation department of a Kuala Lumpur firm, overseeing associates and steering commercial and maritime-related disputes. She has advised public-listed companies on contracts, compliance, procurement issues, and dispute strategy, and also gained in-house experience that deepened her understanding of internal corporate processes, governance, and risk evaluation.
Her exposure to admiralty and shipping matters is strengthened through hands-on casework and postgraduate research which forms part of her wider dispute resolution practice. She has delivered training sessions on banking litigation to financial institutions and is often sought for guidance on complex enforcement, execution strategies, and maritime issues.
Noraini is recognised for her clear drafting and strong analytical ability, as well as her capacity to quickly master new and complex areas of law through disciplined research and continuous learning.
